if it's okay with Chinny and everyone i'd love to download the .dx map file of Turnpike so i can learn how to enhance future maps i make.
I want to know how to make things like the forklift crate mover and the selectable button brush!

A rookie mapper that I am It's very straight forward to do this anax.
EDIT: The fork lift is great but not realistic eg no buttons on the forklift it's self that moves it up n down would be my only change on this part of the map.

movers are easy if you don't try to cheat steps/stages or forget to make it in a clear space.
aug maps with interesting movers will be cool... like Stargate man, but without the complaint about distance...

I Liked how an older player complained that Siberia has no "distance" well it's an indoors map meant to feel something like a military bunker ect.

For those buttons you'd need to make a custom brush and turn it into a mover. Place the mover accordingly and connect it with another mover. All movers can be triggered by buttons and other movers etc. In theory you could turn a battleship into a mover and use it to open a door somewhere else.

I'll be releasing the final version of Turnpike in a matter of days so you can have a really good look at it. The forklift mover idea was to let the player stand on the mover and activate it him/herself easily by frobbing the box, if I made a button on the steering wheel then the player would have to rely on another player to ride the forklift which I didn't want. The forklift main body was made from a rectangle with two cylinders subtracted from it for the wheel arches.
The button is very simple but clever (I used the same technique in the Stalwart map for the vehicle lift) basically I make a brushwork button for cosmetic purposes and I hide a normal DX button actor inside or behind the brushwork button. I then increase the collison of the DX button actor so it looks like the player is frobbing a custom made brushwork button.
