The [FGS] Clan

i found my old disc and reinstalled everything fresh (again), plus the kentie launcher and latest versions of openGL and D3D10 renderers and DXMTL v152b1.

but i am getting this error when i try to enter a server, receiving file downloads works fine as ever but it crashes to this error messgae!

[EDIT]: i'm not actually uisng old Windows, that's just how i've set my GUI, it's the nostalgia innit *sheds a single tear*

am i installing updates and patches in the wrong order or is there a file missing?

Update:

via the disc, i reinstalled/repaired over everything a 2nd time and playing MP worked out fine.
But replacing the default .exe with the Kentie one again brought the error back. This is ood because i have used it before, it seems that i'm obviously overlooking a certain update or file????

Edit: Still no luck! Going to try full reinstall again... 3rd time lucky i hope.

Update:

i "fixed" the problem by using v5 of the kentie .exe instead of the latest which i think was v5.3

However after downloading the 1112fm English patch from here: http://www.planetdeusex.com/dx1/files/patches/
i am now crashing when i try to enter a server...

Okay for the 5th time i have uninstalled and reinstalled everything.

This is the exact process i am using:

- Uninstall everything relating to Deus Ex
- Install Deus Ex from CD (v 1112f)
- Place v5 of Kenties replacement .exe for Deus Ex into System folder (after making backup copy of DeusEx.exe)
- Run the installer for DXMTL v152b1


but now i am still getting the error pictured above when i try to join a server.

This is really driving me up the wall now...

i think i fixed it with a bit off playing around with options in kenite launcher, but seems ued problem will remain...

Scrap THAT, all along the mouse trouble was caused by a missing or corrupt MFC40.dll file!
Deus Ex and UnrealED both work like a dream now, i'm a v happy camper, pls send cake!
