DXSL with chat room

this is the latest version of DXSL, which some of you already know.

for those who dont know yet:
It is a server lister, lists dxmp servers, display info/players for each one. it also have filters (filtering by gametype, map, min/max players, min/max ping, augs, skills, mutators, password...), ability to join the game by just double clicking the server, ability to set your nickname, team, netspeed and password (or admin password) even b4 going to the game. it also supports multiple masterservers (list servers from all masterservers just by one click), its the tool, once you have it, you dont need to start deusex to check whos playing. the program is very small and take almost no resources, has no banners and metabolic end product, and its very fast.

now with version 2.00beta, it got chat room too and by functions becoming much like gamespy but it doesnt hog half so much resources as gamespy (+ no banners, instant launch, no registering needed).

this is great oppurtunity for dxmp players to gather together and make stronger community. how much players do u have on msn? all? does anyone of you have all dxmp players on? and how hoggy is msn? many of you do turn it off while playing. the only suitable realchat program is mirc (or any based using irc protocol), which doesnt hog your pc, but its not so friendly to user. now this tool is very friendly and easy to use. open it, click refresh to refresh servers, or click connect and in few seconds you are connected to chat room and ready to chat with mates. NO settings (except nickname) needed to be changed at all! Free for use, no registration needed.

Chatting is working via IRC protocol, irc.quakenet.org network, which is a gaming network, so the chatroom is always online. all it depends - you, how much you use it.

So what's the trick with this? we get it and then our computers fry just like the servers?

by DejaVu
no, you can chat in with dx players that are also connected that time.

Elemental, its clean - if you took the time to realise, DejaVu only has a vendetta against 0-Augged servers, not the people behind them

install this addon from here - http://www.dxalpha.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8719

then just switch the masterserver from the serverlist screen

I don't trust anything made by DeJaVu.. in fact He's done such a good job of wiping out what was left of dx it's kinda suprising that he even made something as stupid as this. Sorry If i'm a bit skeptical about this "program" of his.. but I have very good reasons for being that way.
Also, Jon.. I don't really care who or what dejavu hates.. thanks to him, I have been forced to make augged maps when I really hate them...

u r absolutly right, dx is dead...with this stupidity its not surprising at all, most servers are empty, and these attaks dont offer much help. I dont know deja's age but its all a little bit childish, thx to him i left dx. Its just shamefull and regretable that it has to end like this, there are a lot of good games out there....so doing what u can to keep dx alive is honorable, deja doesnt get the picture it seems

maybe some ppl left the game, but also many new players came to the game.

if you dont like skills and augs, then you perhaps shouldnt even be playing dxmp. as i said 100 times already, dxmp is all about augs and skills.

i do care about future of dxmp more than everyone else. if you think that ONLY new maps will keep dxmp alive, you are wrong. not even mods. what mods are made today? RPG? SG? fun mods? yea, mods so badly coded that when i enter the server i get like 10fps instead of 100+ when playing on other servers. if you wanna keep dxmp alive, then start at the roots, fixing major problems; bugs, gpfs, servers cpu usage, lag and ping issues, then maybe more ppl will take a look at the game.

Good tool. I'm glad there's no instalation needed, otherwise i wouldn't have botherd with it, but its quick, simple and flexible.

One thing that would make the whole application better however, would be the ability to resize the window, or make it fullscreen.
