DXSG Single Player!

As soon as the 8 DXSG MP maps are finished and tested by players, I will switch to single player DXSG production, producing a "quick" single player mission which is actually only one map with 4 bases, DXSG_SP_Orbital.

However, in multi-map adventures, Stargates and Ring Transportation will give new dimension to free-roaming between game levels in Deus Ex single player. CutScenes of the player entering the stargate and travelling while the next map loads will amongst some of the hardest things to do.

The REALLY fantastic news is that, unlike DXSG Multiplayer, the single player game can offer Stargate transportation, not just ring transportation. So A player can free-roam the universe and map levels at the same time!

Besides using some of the 8 multiplayer maps, one of the ideas for the first SP maps is a USAF airfield, perhaps the other end of Area51 from the munitions bunkers, where Hangar 18 and the security office and runway terminal are...

I'm looking for mappers that I can train to work with rings, AOS movers, stargates, superweapons and consider all aspects of DXSG fighting and RPG when building their map. I would prefer mappers who have good DXSP player experience too and also coders/modders who wish to develop the single player side of things in maps and work with SG.

We will also need beta testers etc... the usual gig.

And from everyone requests/wishes/suggestions/ideas and your bets that we will pull it off...

DXSG_Orbital = 1 map adventure
DXSG_The Day After = multi-map game

Sounds great, but a lot of work as well. I like the fact even more that you can travel through stargate in SP.

Yes this will the major bonus. Free-roaming of not just a city or country, but the entire universe, planets, spaceships etc.

Timeline =slow, gotta learn many SP techniques first. The intro movie will have to rock, I expect that to take a long time...

what you can do though, is test the DXSG MP maps on DXFactory and play SG on the A server and FGS server when it arrives... your opinions will be valued greatly...
