Among this year’s debutantes and desirables are Old Etonians who dazzled at the Paris Olympics and Gen Z princesses who hold court at Oxbridge parties. In the December issue, the 200 most eligible are crowned, and here, Tatler reveals the lucky people who made the top ten… 25 October 2024. A new era is upon us. Labour’s back in power and British pop star Charli XCX has pioneered a cultural movement (‘Bratler’, anyone?). In this spirit of reinvention, Tatler introduces a fresh crop of eligibles. It’s Bridgerton meets Raya – did you make the cut? Luc Braquet. 1. Lyla Elichaoff and Esme Bertelsen. Trinny and Susannah’s daughters Lyla, 21, and Esme, 23, are a force to be reckoned with. These scions of the Noughties fashion queens are taking the art and style worlds by storm. Esme makes digital art, has an eye for vintage clothes and loves boxing, while Lyla is the Spanish-speaking beauty who’s inherited her mother’s entrepreneurial spirit and immaculate taste. The golden boy of the Euros scored with a quasi-backflip to carry England to the final. Off the pitch, you’ll find him relaxing in Miami, sipping from a coconut and swapping sports tales with NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. For this midfielder, it’s all about the right or left swipe – and we aren’t talking about footwork: rumours are swirling that he’s on celeb dating app Raya. 3. Princess Theodora von Liechtenstein. Genovia had Princess Mia Thermopolis, Liechtenstein has Princess Theodora. The latter can be found traipsing the storied corridors of Cambridge University, where she studies architecture. This 19-year-old’s weekends are spent sipping Pimm’s at Henley or partying at Annabel’s with her university pal Sasha Ginsberg. 4. Frankie Goldsmith. Gen Z’s answer to Prince Harry, fiery-haired Frankie, 19, is the latest of the Goldsmith brood to reach eligible status. Having just left Eton, he plans to study engineering at university after a gap year. He’s a blisteringly fast bowler in the mould of his former uncle-in-law, Imran Khan. How to impress him? Perhaps find him a rare antique coin – he collects them. Hubert Cecil. 5. Orlando Getty. Whether he’s dancing to Afrobeats at Club Malasaña in Madrid or sipping mojitos with his close friend Lottie Cecil at Raffles in London, British-based oil heir Orlando, 23, is redefining what it means to be a Gen Z party boy. But this Old Wellingtonian works hard, too – he’s just graduated from Edinburgh, where he studied business and Spanish. 6. Lady Alexandra Russell. High society has a new social swan: the Duke and Duchess of Bedford’s daughter, Alexandra, 23. An Old Stoic, she now works as an interior design assistant for 1990s It girl Emma Benyon. Brush up on your Richard Curtis – her favourite film is Notting Hill . 7. Tade Ojora. Old Etonian athlete Tade, 25, is almost too good to be true. He represented Great Britain in the 110-metre hurdles at the Olympics this year, and is a member of the jet-setting Ojora family. Summers are spent on the Amalfi Coast with his sisters Tobi and Temi, swimming and hurtling across the water in speedboats. Instagram/Olivia Dean. 8. Olivia Dean. Southeast London-based musician Olivia, 25, is breaking Old Etonians’ hearts one heart-wrenching ballad after another. When she isn’t headlining Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage, you might find her on a Brazilian beach, clad head-to-toe in Peachy Den. Nights out in London are spent at Soho’s St Moritz and pornstar martinis are her tipple of choice. Rumour has it she’s dating Harry Styles… Chris McAndrew Photography Ltd. 9. Rosie Wrighting. The youngest female MP in Parliament, Rosie, 27, is making strides at Westminster and in her constituency of Kettering. In 2020, while still studying fashion at the University of Westminster, she joined the Labour Party and became chair of the Westminster North constituency. After graduating, she worked as a buyer for Asos before swapping heels and handbags for the campaign trail. 10. Lord Dalmeny. The newly ascended Lord Dalmeny, 19-year-old Caspian, is jetting off to South Africa to spend his first post-Uppingham months with the lions, working in animal conservation. Always the most dapper of the Earl of Rosebery’s brood, when he returns home to Dalmeny House, he’ll no doubt be delighted by its pending revamp.
