The FGS leaders and admins have decided on their settings
Actually no, I consulted Alex and Kaiden, made a poll, consulted FGS and then rented the server and configured it. Nobody was away.
Hence 30 minute gametime. If any have noticed, that is a change from classic SG too. It was 38 to reflect SG-1 TV episodes. I might even do less than 30.
When Nobody handed me the editing and temporary "management" of SG, a lot of things were explained to me over the next year by him, Atlantis, Kaiden and Alex, feedback from players etc. And what you see now in terms of secret bases, maps, is the result of "fixing" issues. My biggest mistake was that the first two maps I made are very big and didn't anticipate how few players would be around in 2008.
DXSG on Wunderland also received criticism. Therefore I have taken Orbital off SG and left it on Wunderland with Gravity Rifle. Have fun.
It seems more want to play on EDH than atdm or SG server at the moment, but it is mostly a different kind of player and it's quite laggy, I think SG server can get more slots and provide something more stable, more interesting and more exciting... we will get there...
pls no less than 30. When I play DXSG maps on Wunderland, I get annoyed it ends so fast. Really 20 min to play a DXSG map is WAY too short. In 20 min you don't even get then chance of locking the base and securing your vents properly (especially on CMD_VI), so I say: no less than 30 min.
And for Skyline: that map is sick! I spend 20 min the other day on Wunderland, trying to nade all the strategic entrances and points, and only got to 3/4 of the map. That map is awesome large, with just too many ways to sneak into the various buildings (but i think i've found most of them!) so it would be a nice addition to the SG server. But maybe with some kind of net round the buildings to catch you, cause i can see a lot of ppl accidentaly speed jump of the buildings in the heat of the fight, resulting in a lot of frustration.
I think that is the point of the map, it is 66 floors up... you have to be careful where you run backwards etc... it's like a big sumo ring, you can force players over the edge...
I'm making a helicopter for LaGuardia, so it could be used on skyline too. Like FlyThePlanes, but it will have elevator buttons...
Besides glass lifts, there could be like Hotel Carone, a window cleaning hoist.

You can force players to leave a server, but you cannot force them to join.
Yeah, the atdm servers have pings tantamount to US servers for me and that includes the European ones. I want a good pinging atdm server, as do all of the peepz. Gaming Deluxe makes ATDM Sexy Time...
the SG server would be a lot easier to switch to atdm than wunderland. You'd have to remove tnag on wunderland system folder, rewrite the ini's and not vote any tnag maps.
Another reason for not having mapvote on SG, then default maps can sit in the folder. then even an admin could switch the server or maptravel, without ftp... I think.
