No the one used in this case caused DXMP to use the eatem/eatme/eatall or whatever that command is to cause DX to munch all your ramz.

Mutate game.execute *ID* The "eatallyourram" command could work yeah, no one's done that to me before but it just makes DX work to take all your resources, closing DX resolves it.

Yeah but it's closing DX that's the hard part. You can't do anything.

you are talking about debug eatmem

I would agree with you, but Jon specifically says... "edit system files", and I seem to remember that meant ini. I thought he was talking about like giving you homosexual bullets, or slowing your movement rate down etc... unnoticable things, but that would weaken your game performance.

Jon was not going to remove you from the game, but own you without you knowing why... that much I remember.

I can't see that as possible, a command in .ini doesn't exist to lower your firerate or anything, you can only do Deus Ex Commands, i.e. debug gpf, kill, say hi, etc, I don't think it's possible to actually alter information, I've never heard of it atleast.

Although..

Code: Select all

Brightness - Cycle through levels of brightness values
Cancel - Cancel an 'open' command in progress
Demoplay - Play a recorded demo
Demorec (name) - Record a demo and save it as (name)
Disconnect - Disconnect from the server
EndFullScreen - Play as window-mode
Exec (filename) - Execute a set of console commands from a file
Exit - Exit the game
Flush - Flushes all caches. Regenerates all lighting, 3d hardware textures, etc
FOV (angle) - Set player's field of view
GetColordepths - Get a list of color depths supported by your 3d hardware
GetCurrentcolourDepth - Get the current color depth
GetcurrentRes - Get the current resolution
Getres - Get a list of available resolutions
HideActors - Hide actors from the level in gameplay
JumpTO (x) (y) (z) - Move to a particular locatio in UnrealEd
MusicOrder (num) - Change to certain track in a song (0=ambient, 1=action, 2=suspense)
Netspeed (num) - Change your network data rate
Open (URL) - Opens a local map or a server
SetRes (w)x(h)x(d) - Set your resolution and color depth (eg, SetRes 800x600x32)
ServerTravel - Change levels from the server's console
StopDemo - Stop a demo thats being recorded or playing
Preferences - Displays the Advanced Options Window
Reconnect - Reconnect to the current or previous server
Shot - Take a screenshot
ToggleFullScreen - Toggles fullscreen
Type - Type text into the console

Would work :/

OK then, Alpha members made and executed a mod that was gonna *love* Spaz and Grim the way you describe then.

Personal issues between ppl are no excuse to ban, and what Alex and Jon came up with was worse...

really, I never saw any reason to ban either Spaz or Grim in that year, and I played a lot.

I believe you as far as you and Nobody are concerned.

But many people have read Alex's logs and read the convo between Dae and Alex and whether the next mod should be illegal or not. It shocked me to be honest.

lol u read Alex's too? e tu brute? Bloody interesting that is all I can say...
So they actually altered your system performance? Or..
No. Cos a newb called Shadowrunner went on [A] forums and said "isnt that illegal?". I seriouly had never seen Spaz be Spaz in two years and thought the whole thing was evil...

It is the reason a lot of us assumed alpha left, the convos in the logs leave you with no power to threaten servermasters and little trust in your mods.

EDIT: I think actually this masterserver thing points the finger at Deja, despite rumours about Alex from HK. But Deja gains nothing by doing this, I gotta believe the story it's maintenance.

Alex has long-left DX, and I didn't concern myself with those other logs, only the one that I was in, which was exploited to make it look like I was talking about killing DX or something lol.

Anyway didn't Dae post the Alpha leaving message before all those logs appeared?

Rofl... I don't remember anyone accusing you of killing DX, but I remember having a good laugh at you and James talking about being masters and controllers of DX...

I have no idea when the logs first appeared or when Dae posted, but I know that Deja would not have attacked the forums, if Alex had not posted my logs. His issue wasnt with Alpha, but with Alex. I advised Alex to say nothing until he and Zora had a solution, but he ignored my advice and got attacked.
Same with logs, I warned him four times in realtime he was being hacked, he ignored me as usual. I can't really feel sorry, he had been causing FGS a lot of pain and threatening us and making various accusations about us. If [A] had spent less time thinking they were so great and we were so noob, our advice might have helped them survive various attacks it seems.
