was cleaning my mobo today, and I've found out that one of capacitors near my processor has swelled. The electrolyte dried, and it turned from liquid into gas (hydrogen). This is bad, soon the electrolyte will come out and it might *love* up my motherboard.

My PC has a lot of trouble booting up, it gives a processor error and needs to be rebooted a few times. The funny thing is, it depends on the heat in the room - when it's hot, it boots up immediately, and if it's cold, it takes almost 10 minutes of constant re-booting.

It may happen in a minute, tomorrow, in a month or not at all. I've got most of my precious gigabytes backupped. I'm going to look for some 1300

i had a motherboard with many defected capacitors and it worked over years ... so dont worry

Conclusion:
I may disappear for a long time. I don't have to, but it all depends if the capacitor will fail or not.

Yes, you should replace the capacitor, however, I DOUBT that you need 1300mF because it would be as big as a garbage bin! :lol:

Yes but mF means milli farad not micro.

1mF is 1000
