deus ex arx genus, there were classes there, each class had different weapons and augs, like medic had a minicrossbow and healing spray, regeneration itd. while sniper had a sniper rifle, targeting etc.

there were few maps made for it, like Landernau.

[MEGA OFFTOPC]DXAG is a new kind of gametype, where you're more forced to play as a team like in aug game, for instance.
After you (re)spawn you can choose one of 5 classes. Each class has advantages and disadvantages and in theory, there doesn't exist one class that can do the job alone without help from others.
Unfortunately, many players weren't used to play as a team...
..combined with balance problems, a DXAG match often didn't run like it was supposed to run.
Well.. now it's not hosted anymore...

According to its creation..
The idea for DXAG came from Mr Black.
The initial coding was done by Alex, then continued by me in 2005, until early 2006, then the main progress stagnated..

Last year, Mr Black released its source code when leaving the community without consulting me. The result was the final death of the project.
That's the glory story of ArxGenus.
