Find ANY game you like or have remotely played, I PROMISE you a hilarious time. Get back to me on this topic with some of your favorites, because more than likely this will turn into one of those internet vids you fall in love with and watch every past post in the first week and then get withdrawls after you've seen them all and then have to wait for the single update each week and its just like crack and I want more and I want you - sorry I'm rambling.
Sorry, EVE is not for partially retarded people that haven't actually noticed that this-is-not-world-of-war-craft. The way he describes stuff he cannot really understand because of the lack of any sort of gaming experience shows that the described game is not intended for him and that he should give up and go back to WoW because he was unable to notice that the described game is not only about flying around and shooting things, and if he was looking for the mentioned activities it just shows that's he a Age of Conan/WoW/any japanese metabolic end product 25/h a day grind addict.
Ha ha awesome I knew this would stir some metabolic end product up. Before getting so upset, keep in mind that Yahtzee:
A. Is not a fan of reviewing multiplayer aspects of ANY game because the factor of having another human and not AI oftens draws your attention from what he feels games should be reviewed about i.e. actual gameplay, design, maps, characters and storyline. Adding multiple human players to any game will usually make it fun despite any setbacks the game has UNLESS IT IS *loving* MARIO PARTY BECAUSE THAT GAME IS FOR RETARDS!
B. Makes a good point in that MOST MMORPG's end up being more like a second job as in it encompasses many very repetitive tasks that involve interacting with many people whom you usually despise and are granted shallow and lackluster rewards that are worth far less the time and effort put into completion.
C. Is not a typical fan-boy or gamer in that while most of the population will spill every dollar out of there wallet just because the graphics on an otherwise shitty game have been modified, tweaked or "improved" to look like something else that by and by turn out to be the SAME SHITTY GAME.
These reasons are the same in which why I love Deus Ex, as it scares off the typical gamers with less of a mind that a field rat "What do you mean you don't just run through and shoot?!"
However at the end of the credits for one of his reviews there is an easter egg of sorts that shows the DX title screen and music and he sings over it something like "Put on a trenchcoat, and fight... some conspiracies! *something something something* "Our le-vels are ugly" and so on. Hilarious.
