The Nameless Mod got attention!

Post by anihex »

I'm a buyer of the german game magazine "GameStar" (I love that magazine ^_^). They got two pages where they introduce new mods. Even if the mod is for a game that is a bit older.

They also got a small system to rate the mods by themself. In the current (06/2009) they made a complete page just about TNM.
Theyre intro-sentence is

It's a bug I guess. I got stuck when I had to use the AMT Controll panels (The password wasn't correct).

After I had enough of this, I skipped the tutorial and started playing.
My very first impression was like "oh no! not such small levels!" the next impression was like "WTF?! Doors, but I can't open them?" (Reminded me on 'tons hotel btw). After a while I entered the city and can only say one thing:
I was impressed very hard.

So you got the one with the Deus Ex 3 article? This 7 pages long one? =O
It was the reason I bought it and continued buying this magazine (okay, I missed one. Shame on me!).
Actually I bought this one 3 times

GameStar is popular in Hungary aswell but I cba to spend money on something I can find on the internet any time :D

I've downloaded TNM long ago and I still haven't installed it. I'm happy it has the attention of the press though.

If you guys are getting bugs, go back the TNM homepage and download the latest patch. Alternatively, wipe DX and TNM from your HD first, and re-install, we all know how crappy the UEngine can get after awhile....

I guess my bug is fixable with a patch. Since I've installed a complete new DX for TNM. Maybe it's 'cuz of the other mods ... I've installed The New Vision, HDTP and ENB Series. I check this later ... I'll also check if the mod is as awesome as I was told. But I guess GameStar know what they say. Since they said F.E.A.R. 2 got not such an atmo like the first F.E.A.R., Far Cry 2 got story issues and Bioshock got some critic that other magazine didn't had (2K admitted GameStar was right a while later).

I know why GameStar is my main refrence of buying a game or not ;)

Well HDTP is compatible, they worked closely during the development of TNM to make sure it was, in fact they even recommend oyu have HDTP. I dunno about the others.

Also, WHY HIDE XFIRE INFO?!?!? :o

I'm surprised that there are still so many people who actually buy games for PC. I mean you can get anything from the internet nowadays, even XBox or PS3 stuff.
Online games are exceptions though because for instance in WoW you can't enter an official server without having an original copy.

First you have to take out the dvd tray and insert a probe to get the drive's key then you use some software along with your drive's key to create your personal custom firmware, then I used dos to erase the standard firmware then installed my custom firmware.

xboxsky is the place to look for information.
