I did like to read the books, but not a big fan of the movies.

It is a good read, but nothing more than that.

There are far more epic writers in the fantasy genre, like Terry Goodkind or Robert Jordan (rip), to name two.

In my opinion the new Harry Potter movie is nothing but an erotic teenager drama.

It's full of horny teens and suggestive humour which might make you chuckle a couple times but it's not as good as the critics say.
The effects however are very nice and worth an oscar nominaton in "Best Visual Effects" category.
As I expected the story of the film was going very fast and some cool parts were missed and some characters had changes in their roles which might not be a bad idea but it's still noticable.
There was no serious battle scene in it like in any other episodes which I knew before I watched the movie and I missed it a little bit but it's not that much of a problem.

Overall I'd give it a 7 out of 10, only for the visual effects.
