Wishlist for DXMP
I mean...
1. Securitybots and Military bots controlled by teams like turrets, through use of security computers.
(I dont want some smartass to tell me it can be done, go and friggin do it! now! link me to the .u file asap, for DXSG new server plz)
2. PC's - I want login and send infolink messages to other players via player lists. PM's if possible. Not too big a message. And J-C, it's been 6 years and I don't ever get an e-mail in DXMP, always same, every day, no e-mails... in fact maybe infolink tells me i have a pm, then I have to find a pc to read my message...
3. Datacubes - it's ten years now guys and datacubes still dont tell me metabolic end product.
4. Books - when the frig is a book gonna be readable.

Re: Wishlist for DXMP
You didn't have to list 3 and 4 seperatly, also making the datacubes show text in DXMP is possible...
Easiest way is just send a client message or whatever, the text will show up in the infolink thing where you can also see normal players talk...
I don't suppose that's the desired effect
Also, I think there was a mod for sending PMs? I'll have to look into that...

Re: Wishlist for DXMP
Ive had hundreds of similar ideas in the past, never bothered to write them down since, lets be frank: nobody is gonna build them.
Hows engineer skill sounding, can construct a limited amount of turrents depending on skill level, or summon temp medbot/repairbot/ or bigger security and warbots if you have the skill level. Maybe even control warbot like youd control drone.. possibly through drone aug.

Masta that would be great.
Great ideas Ken.

Re: Wishlist for DXMP
Also, I see no reason why skills can be upgraded but not augs. We upgraded them in SP, so why not in MP. I dont think messing with upgrade cannisters is a good idea here, maybe something like a chance of getting aug upgrade when looting a body, or killing someone. Or maybe just spend a minute or something upgrading your augmentation using repair bot..

Re: Wishlist for DXMP
aug upgrades as treasure sounds good.
I need Panzerfaust. Would be easy, just a reskinning of law or law that shoots 20mm explosion . Also RPG-7.

Re: Wishlist for DXMP
The problem with all of these suggestions (bar the first one) is actually finding a viable use for those items in a competitive context. Standing around and reading datacubes and books and terminals all day isn't going to help you when three enemies are busy pumping you full of lead - and even ignoring that, what kind of information could those objects possibly give to aid the player who took the time to use them? Stock MP keypads don't accept codes, stock MP terminals don't accept logins... there's not a lot left you can give to the reader that will help in said competitive context.ShadowRunner wrote:I mean...

Re: Wishlist for DXMP
You want viable use in terms of competitive contest? Ill give you viable use.
Imagination is the key.
Books: gives skillpoints, depends on the book, possible random book placers on mp maps that spawn random book. Book is used upon "reading". Fun part of it is that while technically someone might figure out a way to make it actually readable, chances are youll be fragged within 10 seconds.

Re: Wishlist for DXMP
The idea from another clan member is that datacubes and books will contain information which will help the player to win the game. Info on how to quickbind altfire, or visit our clan forums, or perhaps use of augs etc are just some initial ideas.Magus wrote:The problem with all of these suggestions (bar the first one) is actually finding a viable use for those items in a competitive context. Also the bot idea, is really to bring something fresh after 10 years, I think it will be a lot of fun to take a security comp over and watch a bot rampage amongst the enemy. Since they move, it would be a fluid aspect to the game, the tables could turn at any moment.

Must be replete with "Scanning area" barks, of course.

Re: Wishlist for DXMP
I would attach "Scanning area" bark to anyone standing still for more than 2 seconds in mp.
Re: Wishlist for DXMP
i have this idea !
untaco and NSF Fighting for one place ! i mean like a base in CMD VI .So this base or place it i wll be a Axis of playing !
one of this teams will fight for their base and other trying to get it from them .
so when the team of them access into base they will turn on Button or something like Commodo post aircraft call . so every one of the defense team in base will be death !
ihpe my idea be clear
