Banning him is good, it's not just alpha related.

He's a mod-stealer, an *metabolic end product way out* too. Will host any maps or mods you made, rename, add his own copyrights. he even edited your train map, I don't remember what's it called.. anyway.

Is this true? Even maps that are "actually patented"? If so, that would be illegal.

Hmm, I've never made a train map. I have a SG map with a kind of transport system, but I've never seen it hosted by anyone except myself.

Just wondering because it seems pretty harsh to ban someone on what will be 7 servers, who has done absolutely nothing ever to FGS.

As for the "Inglorious Basterds" map with porn instead of Icho, are you sure that is him? If we go by your rules then we should ban all TKG members too, they've edited that map too. And fair enough, I did leave DX for a long time and I know some people think that map is fun. Would just like to see some proof before I ban him on 4 servers. As far as I know FGS has never annoyed him and he's never annoyed us.

I made a topic about "Fly The Planes" being edited into Porn and shown on youtube, but no-one in this clan or [A] mentioned it was Dogny, so I am wondering how suddenly you know it was Dogny and why no-one told me? Well, nvm

The reason I ask, is because we have a policy of not banning people that [A] dont like, until they actually cause a ban on our servers.
Jon tried to ban Spaz and Alex tried to ban HDD21 on our servers, neither guy had actually broken any rules. FGS discussed these issues and although we sympathized with Jon and Alex, we decided to be very clear, we aren't going to ban people who haven't actually broken our rules.

I think it's dumb that you wouldn't ban someone until they do something on your server, let's say someone DDosed SunnySide, and several other servers but played FGS frequently without attacking that, you'd actually be happy having them on your server?

Don't get me wrong, we have solidarity for our [A] brothers... but I take everything said on that forum with a pinch of salt. If everything were true, then I am as bad as dogny and deja vu, am a leet hacker, spammer, enemy of A who has made it my mission to destroy A clan and take over control and play God in DX and am one of the reasons Dae left. That's a fair summary of topics about me on A. I actually have never even cheated on a server, let alone attacked one. The worst thing I did to A? ask questions or publicly state info passed to me by REN or Deja which contradicted the bullcrap eminating from that forums. So ye, woops I challenged a totalitarian regime which banned a few people who are irritating to them. my bad.

We are the nice guys, we don't ban without some proof. That's all I'm trying to say. Was just trying to find out why we need to ban him.

Relating back to DJ's prior post.. I don't think it's that big of a problem unless there is a noticeable change. Yes, editing ones map is aggravating to the creator if the creator did not want one to modify their work.. but again, that is their fault for not protecting it. This however is unfortunate to those mappers that would have liked their map protected, but did not have the convenience of the protection tool during that time span. Any map I publicly release is protected. If the person playing the map truly takes interest in the map, and would like to know how it works, and how to create certain functions, or idea's.. I'll provide my unprotected map to them to experiment with.

Err, train map.. It's.. not movable.. you can go inside it, there's a spawn inside it and a desert like place with cactus around.. oh and small tents or something.

My point was simply not editing only; but renaming the map too. And adding his own name, etc.

But anyway, I wouldn't care if he gets banned or not either because he hasn't done anything wrong with me but to others.

Dogny, whilst being pretty questionalbe in his actions, hasn't ever crossed me, and because of this I refuse to cross him.

As for the bannings, we seem to have had an anticheat mod go crazy or something (they're all rangebans, so an admin hasn't done it). If it persists, I'll have to revert whatever's causing it to an older version.

renaming the map too. And adding his own name, etc.

THIS would be considered as a major change. Claiming full/majority rights to a modified version of an original map [In which the "modifier" had no part in creating the original version].

I know some simple ways though to create a map that can not be edited by the contents it consists of, as well as the name of it.
