DJ stick to the mapping and coding because you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. For a decade most players have played with AS HIGH FPS AS POSSIBLE except for VERY FEW INDIVIDUALS who capped it to their refresh rate which would actually be the most optimal and logical setting. You werent even attending the school when there were people competing over possible fps limits. Modern PC however tends to break the old game entirely through various bugs that do not exist for everybody equally. Fact is that when my clans played wars I only knew of one guy who was the odd weirdo with 60 fps. I didnt know anyone else with that cap.

From my experience on a pc from y2k, a newer one and my current one I am able to feel the change between 60 and 100 fps, and as such I have always preferred 100-120 lock, even if on old computers that was pretty much impossible to reach in the first place.

Your clan is currently the only clan with the possible ressources for fixing the fps bug, yet you go out on your way to slander a clan without having any evidence. Blade warns or bans those that use rapid fire. Smokey for one probably has a PC several generations behind the fps bug.

That said: provide evidence that anyone of THC cheats, or gtfo.

i dun need to provide evidence, blade knows it, he hasn't denied it on his previous post, he should have if it was incorrect

i'm not talking about any rapid-fire bug, higher FPS isn't just like 'yeah ok' thing, it does give you more advantages, just check out assault rifle, try killing someone with 60 FPS, then see on 200 fps

I cant test it because I shoot two times or so faster at 200 fps. The difference you are talking about cant be anything but the bug. The community didnt notice any rapid firing (besides odd admin abusers) before 2006 or so when that Lionheart guy went around with his hacks, and it wasnt even fps fire bug then, and like I said people generally aimed for 100 120 or even higher fps caps. By your logic everybody shouldve shot faster, rofl.

Not to mention some people actually were able to get monitor refresh to 100-120 so capping fps to that was entirely reasonable.

Well, there are two options I see so far..
Either we get those people to cap their FPS.. but even if that works, it's not said that it will succeed. I just checked my FPS and it's around 150-200 on my notebook and I have no fast firing at all..

Or.. we invent modified weapons which is a hell lot of work.

For some reason the instigator to perform a "shot" is the client.
Solution should be to add a serverside check, that checks whether the shot intervals are kept..
Best thing would be to make a hax patch for the serverside DeusEx.u.. unfortunately, the changes are too complex for me to get them into a patch..
..alternative is to subclass every weapon and to add the check
