in the Church in up town what you need to do is make a Monk or a Preacher or somthing in that line that you can talk to and get money i say 1000 shuld be the max you can get from him. and after you get the 1000 in i dont know 20 minutes or so you could go back for more. well maybe not but its a good idea.

EDIT: Nvm, wouldn't help actually.

Being killed over and over by some random with a shotgun isn't fun. Also is the police mission fixed yet? Was pretty much impossible to kill the thug last time I tried.

More edits, is the server supposed to save your money? Because mines being reset quite often.

Police recruitment was fixed a few days ago and is working fine.

The money thing seems to be improved, but not totally fixed. Harass Cozmo to stop playing GTA and work on the mod plz!

The recent spawnkilling appears to be mostly auggers such as Bubu and Monkee. Again I asked Cozmo for a Police shotty that can fire real or rubber bullets, and I'm waiting for some kind of solution.

We are unfortunately considering temp bans for serious disruption and also other options like asking DJ to make a 20 kill mutator which exiles players from the server if too many kills in 30 minutes lets say.

As mappers our options our limited without Cozmo. We can duplicate the cop recruiting team in other places, otherwise I need to think what I could do.

A while ago I asked Cozmo if I could recruit a coder to finish the coding and fix stuff, he said I should wait as he was coming up with a solution. That was about a week ago. EDIT: one more point brb

Reason for the gaming increase over coding lately; all of my coding stuff is on a laptop, wrapped in life support / coolers etc because it's a few years old and is hard to access. Was supposed to be moving out of this room and able to access both computers comfortably a few days ago but delays have ruined that, so I dug the laptop out and started coding again yesterday. Should hopefully be settled down properly in a few days. Sorry about the mess I've caused.

As for the money problem, I'm assuming you mean the money left over in bank accounts from other players? I actually fixed this a while ago, but was holding out to put it with a bunch of other fixes. And for the spawnkilling, I may have to reintroduce anti-spawnkill turrets, or make it so anyone shooting players within however many units of the hospital goes straight to jail. Also Shad I've just had a cool idea regarding police weapons; SWAT gun that only damages players with a criminal level of >20?

So anyway, next patch (emergency patch):

- Anti Spawnkill (which method would be best?)
- Triad outfits
- Police followers
- New police weapons
- ATM fix
- Possibly the NPC/Missions SDK

After I dug out my laptop yesterday, I deleted my old coding on the NPC SDK thing because I was totally lost with it, then sat down and planned it properly. I figured out how it should work and know how to now. :-)

EDIT: Actually, if either of you have seen the AntiSpawnKillTurret actor in there, don't add that one - it's outdated and won't work with the newer stuff. I'll code new ones if you want though.

I've realised another bug with the atm. If you put money into the ATM for over a period of 15ish seconds the game crashes, and you get connection failed. You respawn with your weps etc, but not the money that was in your inventory.

Thanks for posting that quick Psycho...

How that has happened I've no idea, afaik it's not map error, I'm wondering if someone tweaked server settings or applied a patch. It will take about 1 hr to fix, upload a new version if it is actually a map error, I'm sure it's not, we tested this last night.

Map name appears to be same as last night, so I assume Chinny hasn't uploaded another one.

The doors seemed fine for me. Did others have the problem? I'm thinking it's a freak client side error.

That is the weirdest weirdest thing, after restart map is perfect, except for the errors we knew already.

I was about to post a wall errors, then I saw your post and realized it can't be it a map error.
I just saw a camera had moved.
I think some bugs in this build could be due to the fact I forgot to fix a minor camera issue.
Since one of the elevator buttons sets is broken, and players must walk one of the railways, maybe we should stick another up with a better set of actor fixes.

I'm sorry for the mouse error so much in this thread.

On my server map runs fine from 999 minutes to 18 minutes, when I map changed.

So this is a Cozmo server issue perhaps, not a map issue.

The only difference on my server was augs on start, which disappears after your death anyway.

wazzup, found some problems with the new update, i dont know when the last time you updated the map/mod but its some issues that need to be looked at.... i took some pictures but now there not there.. greatttt.
anyways, random doors have been locked across the map, for example an apartment door in uptown, the chinatown apartment complex place and in the cells of the police station the door wont open to police players. thats all i remember from playing it a few minutes ago. great job on the map so far :D

edit: well i see that this hasnt been the first report of the problem, next time i should look at the others' posts before posting myself heh. sorry 'bout that :)

It's alright, I appreciate your intentions, as it doesn't affect everyone, it's not totally useless info.

I woke this morning with the theory that it is not even Chinny's server, but somehow players are doing this. It has taken sometimes less than one hour to bug, sometimes up to 6 hours.

I have a general theory though.

>Compile ALL scripts is dangerous to the map. This is my theory. When I compile ALL scripts there seems to be actor trouble always.

When I just F7 rebuild and save, map is better it seems.

It's a very strange glitch. It's not a client side error. Everyone sees the same doors as being locked. If you pick the lock it will return to normal and stay unlocked. If your apartment gets locked you will be unable to pick it and you can't enter. I checked Cozmo's code from the cache and there is nothing that would cause a door to lock. Doors seem to be locked in groups. All the apartments were locked. In the LP base, 2 out of 3 were locked although I believe a player unlocked one. If a double door is affected, both doors are locked. Do the doors have tags?

Finished the "emergency" patch - just want opinions on some additions and how some things should be handled.

The anti-spawnkilling - how should that work? I'm thinking possibly new turrets around the hospital and starting area, seeing as if there are no existing cops on the server, the newer weapons or cop followers are useless. These would open fire on any criminals around the hospital with a criminal level of more than 20 or something.

SWAT followers and player SWAT rifles - The cop followers have been done, and I'd like to add SWAT followers but I don't want them to be too common; they're supposed to be the elite, and more rarely called upon. Possibly make them available to cops who've taken out a player using the SWAT rifle? (Number of arrests would be better, but awkward to update that due to existing actors)

If I remember correctly, you were working on a super leet UnrealScript hack/mod thing right? I don't suppose it extends the annoying 255 byte coding limit problem for arrays? :oops: It might be essential to get my NPC pseudo-SDK thing working.
