Hi Majster, is bunker_beta 1 the latest version?
Re: 2 MB's in 2 months Mapping Challenge
It's latest version for the Mapping Challenge and it's completed map. I don't exclude I will work on this map in future, so I named it beta1. Anyway, you can host it.chin.democ. wrote:Hi Majster, is bunker_beta 1 the latest version?

Re: 2 MB's in 2 months Mapping Challenge
I have made scores for each contestant and category. The only category I did not judge and score yet is "Sounds".
In two or three places I question my scores or it is hard to pick the category winner. Also I need to check my scores with Face perhaps and play some of the updated maps a bit more as there have been quite a few last minute changes here and there and I might have missed something good or bad.
I find the scoring easy if I work in a subtractive way, knocking off where something didn't quite achieve the possibility. I'm not really comparing maps in the first stage, just seeing if the map ticks boxes.
It is very easy to commend people in each category. In some categories there is barely a winner, in others it's a fierce fight.
Just to keep you in suspense, my first attempt at judging 5 of the 7 criteria left me with 3 guys all scoring 49 and the lowest score being 40. So now I am getting to the difficult part, comparing maps.
I was thinking not give final scores, but just say who did well in each category and why they scored 9 but not 10. Also to give feedback on a category where people didn't win commendation. A couple of guys are in the middle, they are very talented, but maybe struggled with the 2mb limit, or time, or really weren't intense enough perhaps. I think the person coming second in this contest is really going to kick themselves hard too, because they could have won so easily if not for one simple thing.

4 done and 4 to go tonight. Maybe 24 hours after to ponder.
Re: 2 MB's in 2 months Mapping Challenge
You guys have made this incredibly difficult to judge!
So, while Shadow and I continue our "discussions", let me just congratulate everyone on their maps - it's been a lot of fun checking them out so far!
Hope to get our results in very soon.

Re: 2 MB's in 2 months Mapping Challenge
We've easily established a pecking order, but with the top 3 in that pecking order, it's tough to place the winner, since those three succeed and fail for different reasons. Hopefully by this time tomorrow we've had a bit more time to come to a decision.
Re: 2 MB's in 2 months Mapping Challenge
just carry on with your "discussions"
hurry up i wanna see where you think i failed so can do better in future!
