1. There was a time element for the players, but for the judges also. There was pressure to deliver a verdict. Face suggested taking a second week to judge, but unfortunately, a week for judging was all I had on this occasion, my mistake for not budgeting more time. I think some players look at the scores breakdown, which in my case is very arbitary and only my overall score is accurate. My comments are really the score.
2. I'm a challenger's worst nightmare. I was published in The Independent, Vogue, iD, I've dealt with the most anal people on the planet and I've worked with people like Natalie Imbruglia and other successful creative people. I was particularly anal towards most challengers, especially Chees and Anax, because I remember the asskicking I got as an art student hitting the job market. Anyone who didn't pay FULL attention to the brief got slaughtered in this challenge.
3. Challengers did whine to me about various other maps

Considering only 2 of the challengers have been mapping more than 12 months, people overall didn't do a bad job with a brief that was ridiculously tough. The next challenge could mix creative discipline and creative freedom more evenly perhaps. Also more participation from auggers in the next one could well give it a healthy balance.
