Just wanna follow this up real quick ... because I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. Aren't all applications "sudden" by their very nature?

It's also the fact that you have 8 posts on our forum and even though you're said to be a regular in game, most of us still don't know you very much. This would be different if you were also active here which is a big help for applicants.

I've noticed that some players quit less these days, if you give them a beating. You can actually get across Scoutz with a DTS, giving people practice shots before you behead them. This is fun.

2. How long have you been playing Deus Ex?
Played SP since 2002. MP since 2005.

So, you must be this Whiplash, who I remember from old days, for example from GODZ Server. I remember you were good player during these times.

But as I said that was years ago - recently I've had more time to play DX, and I think I've got better. Not the best ever, but pretty good, well above average at least. During a game of 0 Aug play about a week or two ago there was this godlike player called Kiki on the other team who was pulverizing the opposition (my team). I was one of the few that was able to challenge her (I assume it was a she) and broke one hell of a streak where she was getting "Kiki is Godlike" on that UT announcer streak counter thing every few seconds. As the match concluded, ome of the other players on my team were like "wow Whiplash you're really good, none of us have been able to kill Kiki."

I know him well, he is a man. He is really good player.

There is NO point to apply if we don't know each other. We base our opinions of players from what we see on our forums and in our servers, not in their applications. Application is merely a formality and the members confirming an acceptance into [FGS]. Do not apply if most members don't know you or you are not already a regular on our forums.

Please note that [FGS] is not officially recruiting at the moment. This means we have enough fighters, mappers, editors and technical staff for our needs. Naturally, applications are never thrown back automatically, but we only make exceptions in very special cases. We are looking for dedicated people with talent or proven potential who can help us to further our activities, whether that be an exceptional fighter and mentor, an expert mapper, or an inventive coder. Today [FGS] doesn't consider exceptional in-game skills an important reason to accept applications. We're much more like a group of scientists who fight to keep this small community alive with everything we have. Remember this when applying for [FGS]

Jumping the gun on Nobody and Sasquatch to say WELCOME ON TRIAL



They'll provide details about the trial period because I don't know them off the top of my head.

Congratulations, you're accepted to FGS, Whiplash!
Here some further information about how it will go on:
Like every new member, you need to pass a trial time, where you can prove yourself. (e.g. showing a certain presence, providing further results of what you a presented in your application, etc)
The length of the trial time depends on your input and behaviour but doesn't exceed two months.
At the end of your trial time, a final estimation will decide about the successful pass of the trial time.

As new member, you can wear the tag [FGS-T] now!
Furthermore, you will be added to the FGS Trial Member group within the next days.


One last thing which some new members desire..
Do you wish to change your forum username? (This is purely optional)
If yes, it's the best time to tell it now.
(Mind that your login name will change accordingly)
