I updated my server list in ini today and same as my original when i hit refresh button. Wanted a game on MP but empty apart from smell my cheese server. Altfire is off line as well maybe Nodz can answer why on that...maybe he said to himself 'Whats the point' an gave up hosting!
WE NEED SERVERS WITH BOTS IN SO PLAYERS HAVE SOMETHING TO FIGHT WITH WHEN NO HUMANS ARE ONLINE. THAT WAY HUMANS WILL STILL AT LEAST BE INTERESTED IN DXMP!
Sorry for the caps but I have stated this before in other topics about how this could be done and benefit empty servers and it was ignored. Lets be honest who is going to spend hours a week sitting on an empty server waiting for players to join! PUT BOTS IN THEM FOR HUMANS TO FIGHT THEN PLAYERS WILL JOIN. IF NOT AT LEAST HUMAN PLAYERS AINT SITTING THERE LIKE A STATUE FOR YEARS AND THEN GIVE UP ALTOGETHER.
I'm the one running the PartyTime server, the nature of the map and the UScripts running on it (NPCs), player interaction is preferred but not required. Some time back used to be a few peeps that came on, I think most people check the server list but only come on when others are online. Hate to suggest this, but a good way to get more people on would be to have 2-4 people join one server. Soon as browsers look at the server list and see that, at least some of them would probably get curious and hop on. Which server doesn't really matter to be honest, but I figure if enough people went on one server, would get the lurkers out and playing as well. :P
Well yeah some cheating noobs decided that it was good idea to up their initiative and tip community focus (and activity) in their direction. No big surprise how that worked out. Since Dani hated augs so much I'm not surprised he is dancing now.
cant believe you guys are still fighting about this the game is dead and the least you could be doing is ignore your differences and playing an honest game of each gametype with each other, and if you werent fighting so much i bet the life of this game could have been prolonged... whatever though, thats just the way she goes and ill constantly check the server and if i stumble across a game going on i will play.... there is no other game like this, and likely never will be
Im guessing people who are still posting on FGS, as well as Ricci and SS (pretty sure both of them are still interested in playing, just gotta message them when a games on etc) same with Duke.
Not sure if Danisaggenza, Solid and the rest of their BB clan are interested in playing, as Anax said Fullmoons server is passworded, it seems only him and Phantom play on it (not sure why, guess they really like 1v1ing all the time).
There might be people on A forums as well as the Deus Ex subreddit (I think we COULD get players from there, just not ATDM players, more like one of the mods say DXAG?)
I don't play.. partly because my clan doesn't play (mostly real-life taking over), partly because I found out this PC cant even run urban terror anymore (and it is like 1000x more optimized than DXMP). So I don't really play shooters. I have issued a message to my guys that if they are getting more active, they can reach me.
I think whats sure is that Phantom plays Not surprised that BB isn't playing.. they only put clan up out of boredom so they could help their old buddy Phantom *love* the game. Every serious ATDM game both cry so much that its not even funny.
