if statistics don't lie, Noodz will be back in a year like Icho, myself, Chinny, maybe all were... sometimes you need time to yourself to do other things instead.
I don't have a problem with it being offline for a while since maps could be updated and unfinished SG stuff could be finished, while also there are DXAG, Karky, Cagematch, 0a, Cozmo! and other custom stuff around.
DXMP is lucky to have people that can home host decent servers, can anyone say how many of the servers on the list are rented? Last time I looked into all this, it was much cheaper to rent a couple of boxes or do a deal with someone like Alex or Deja, than for people to rent individually. It would be great to see ATDM, Hengsha, Cage, DXAG, DXSG, 0a, WW2, Altfire, Cozmo and still have at least 2 more servers and it be costing us less than it does now. I thought about kickstarter, but my personal preference would be a regular payment than forking out now. Christmas is a good time for fundraising and it could be posted on Steam, Eidos etc etc... the classic 2001 game and all of those mods will appeal on a secondary level to people...
