Already more MS and servers than players online?!
Re: A solution for the GameSpy masterserver issue

I'm tellin ya, if GS already shut down, then maybe steam provides deus ex with the newer Master servers.
Re: A solution for the GameSpy masterserver issue
Just a quick update for those interested:
The 'lease' on the masterservers has been renewed recently, whilst doing that I also dropped the Californian (backup) server as it was too unreliable to my liking, even for a backup server.
It was replaced by a new server in Dallas, Texas.

Sorry, been away for a while, things got hectic after graduation haha..
In the meantime I've purchased an ultrabook, so I could technically play DXMP again, yay! Anyway, does the above mean DXMP default masterservers are back online?

DXMP default masterservers are gone I believe and taken many other gaming servers down in the process. You have to update your .ini file for the new hosted master server for DX. Correct me if I'm wrong!?
Chees, dancing but naked round the table for a laugh!

Re: A solution for the GameSpy masterserver issue
The hosting provider of the primary masterserver announced today that they will be performing maintenance on the physical server which runs the masterserver.
Unfortunately this also changes the IP address of the masterserver, and includes some short downtime. No ETA was given, but I will monitor it today.
Server hosters will not have to do anything, it will all be resolved automatically.

Alright, thanks for the info. So we don't need to go RAAAWRRRRWRWRRR in case of sudden down time.

Re: A solution for the GameSpy masterserver issue
After a re-visit after all of these years, I am glad the 333network master server was the one that prevailed.
