ok i just want to know what clans are out there iv seen a few but what are those odd clans that you see popping up out there?

It's the choices being offered.
Two established clans with servers and fileshare sites and hosts of other major projects, versus three newb clans.
I vote FGS, but feel GODZ deserved my vote just as much, given that they run a different server, which caters for a more difficult type of guest.
But there is no harm in you asking that question Kothar, you should see the questions I ask GODZ, FGS and DXMS lol...especially DXMS get asked truly dumb questions, yours is not...

Eye are a very small clan, but have a nice map collection and a server. Also EYE are interested to join with IA, but just like B2S they want IA to change their name and wont consider losing their EYE name.
Kickass I can not tell you much about.

IA of course is the best clan of course Kothar, it's your clan lol...
Here at IA we are always considering joining with another more established clan, but the problem is that very few clans would accept all of our existing members, they would wish to be selective.

The longer this continues, the more established IA becomes. And it is largely with help from FGS and GODZ but also DXMS, DXC, EYE, Z, BB, A etc to name but a few of the clans who have helped IA form and improve.

DXMS isnt a Clan

its a Mapper Society with Mappers from different Clans

I stand corrected, dead true.

I think DXC are the same, I am in IA but a member of Deus Ex Council.

Even IA to some extent a not a proper clan, we do not as yet train members or give out orders.
Most members are active some personal DX project and IA brings people together...

p.s. i loooooove lams too! I'll be making a grenade map one day...

Hmm Well now I am IN... [[[FGS]]]...I can not believe a noob is in FGS.

I would say that when you consider mods/maps/servers and dedication are as important as playing and cheating as important as both then I feel this list is wrong...

The other clans I do not see, except EL who are constantly in the wall of shame on GODZ. Also I have NEVER seen A or FGS in the wall of shame, but I have seen EVERYONE else. When you consider mods as well you are left with only 3 contenders...

These are the servers that great DX battles are happening...
Shen is a great clan at the moment too, I feel they could be included too.
Jonesy and Daemon have joined IO too, who have a server too so...

one of those three/four/five clans are the owners and presidents of DX.

DXMS is not a clan.

I am a extremely proud soldier to be accepted into FGS, I feel I have a lot of catching up to do...and one day be good enough for FGS lol...

Comments since I joined FGS lol =

"Oh FGS let anyone in these days"
"FGS used to be an elite clan"
"I cant stand your maps more than five minutes"
"Your maps make me feel sick"
"All your maps are copy/pastes" (not true but grrr...so is Proteus and Skyline...)
"FGS are noobs"

All these people decline a 1 v 1 or request to see their maps...

I guess the argument is changing to...what makes a clan great?
