I have played DX:IW and some things are very DX like and
then some things are different. The skill system for the weapons are just
not there. The low tech weapons are to a degree inefficiant besides the
good wacking stick (Wrong stick... not that one). One thing that sucks is
universal ammo system. Every gun takes the same type of ammo. This
to me degreads the realism that the original DX inspires. The game story
is excellent continue of the orginal plot layed out. There are 4 different
outcomes depending on at the end how you choose to end it. The main
plot is a bit fixed but allows great veration of freedom to a degree.
I was not that impressed for some reason? Anyone want to guess
why?

The plot was so linear it made me want to scream, the "choices" you could make were pointless and there was no character building at all. The ending was the worst bit.
i have been playing IW l8ly and i h8ted it at first then i liked it then it is stupid... and im only in um... that city in Egypt..... (can't spell it lol)i h8 the ammo system the fact that sum guns use more ammo than others makes u only use the pistol cos 2 shots with sniper uv used 1 clip already... very unrealistic.... the plot could have worked... if the ppls who made the game were the same as the pls who made DX1 (i dunno but 4 sum reason i think the ppls who made DX1 quit... lol) the graphics r better but that doesn't make up 4 lack of a good plot i do lik the fact that u can go 4 one side or the other... or use my alternative do both u git more credits that way but sum things lik in the mako place one choice was to kill the dude the other was to let him live... i let him live cos i didn't have enough ammo to take on a bot and guard... lol i think if they used 2 types of ammo it would have been beter lik ballstic and energy ammo the skills thing sux i lik it there but it not there.... and i c y there is no multiplayer cos this multiplayer is better i don't look forward to fighting JC or Paul but doesn't paul die if u play by the recomendations given to u by paul in the hotel room? and the stuff about the collapse u should be able to change the plot according to what ending u pick form DX1 lik at the beggining..... anyways i hope a DX3 comes out that will live up 2 DX1 and a movie would be cool 2! and it would be cool if there was a DX1 movie and DX2 movie..... anyone heard of sumthin lik that coming out?
1. How are they going to get all those levels/missions into one film?
2. Do you think the guy is going to stealth and tranq his way the whole through?
3. Do you think there wont a be real cheesy sex scene?
4. And umm...9/11 made all terrorists and "terrorists" look a bit uncool didn't it...
5. The game is so esoteric that Columbia wont see a reason to stay true to DX for the sake of fan criticism, there are so few fans in comparison to the box-office demand for dollars.
6. Look at other movies Columbia made in this genre.
There could a DX animation. And DX Players could produce it.
But unless you are having lunch with Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood or MGM next week and can prise a spare 100-300 million out of them, then I think Coumbia may, or may not be making the DX movie/s.
