Leaving the community

Hi all. Over the past week Ive been thinking about this, And now im finally doing it.

I know a few people who will be celebrating... but:

Im leaving the Deus Ex community. Ill still play and map the odd occasion but i wont be involved with deus ex forums or the community.

The games been trashed during the year ive been in it. its not fun anymore. The polotics dont help, all the flaming. Its unreal.
(no not the game). There is alot of hacking and DDoSing metabolic end product in this game too.

In this game, i cant make a map or mod without fear of it being stolen and edited.

Which is why i implement hosting protection etc in unreleased maps

The games passed the point of no return.

Although a few newebies enjoy dx in my server (ye ive read logs).

Also playing it every day its become very unhealthy.

Ill keep the masterserver up (master.hdd21server.co.cc) and my RPG and beginners server up if they are wanted. If not ill take them down.

but id like to say: Many thanks to all the people who helped me With Deus Ex.I know a few people helped me with alot of stuff.

Ill still be on MSN as usual etc. And you may see me ingame now and then.

Ill be in a few other games now and again too. Mainlly unreal and urban terror.

Also thanks to all players who i had good games with in dx.

This wasnt an easy decision to make. But its for the best.

You will see me ingame occasionally but you wont be seeing me on forums after today.

I will also map sometimes and help people with servers etc if they want help.

(contecting me on msn).

However for whoever voted: Stuff them. Take them down and dont ever put them back up

another sshot. This is a sshot at 17 DJs pathetic attempt at decompiling a mod of mine.

But theres something else. The packages hes looking at are embedded with a map. Its my RPG map. He or someone in 17 has basiclly dechached it. The protections inplace will stop em doing much.

Hes just loaded my dechached RPG in WOTGreal exporter. It is dissapointing this community. Full of dechachers etc. And pathetic attempts at decompling mods which were protected for a reason.

I still play/map on occasion so any mods of mine that are stolen i shall know.

After today i wont be on ANY Deus ex forums etc.

Take note of the classes. All of them are the only exact ones i embedded with the map. dxmpcredits i forgot why i embedded them but it proved useful today eh?

Your DX life would be 100 times easier if you realize you are very new in Deus Ex and you need to just play the game and forget for now trying to run big projects and talk big and make new maps and clans every five minutes.

The comment about people stealing your maps and editing them is typical.

Come back down to earth. Instead of trying to be a leader, a figure, a legend, just seriously, put your head down, join a clan, and mind your own business, which seems to me, to be improving your mapping and fighting skills.

Anymore than that is just stupid and risking flame and lack of credibility.

It annoys me that you thank people for this advice and then do the exact opposite always...

it's fine if a player wants to be good at everything, look at Face...

but Face has been a DX player for 7 years.
