Sounds like Eidos just might have done the first game justice.

It looks pretty much like a decent Deus Ex walkthrough of a map. I can't wait.

I can't wait either. I really got excited after seeing the trailer. What the hell would Satan's fall (what it appeared to be) have to do with Deus Ex. For those who did not see it, it's two-thirds into the trailer, where you see an angel's wings being burned in a flash, just after the missile was launched. It certainly promises more philosophy, which was awesome of course in Deus Ex.

Interesting interpretation. I took those scenes with the dissection and the angel wings to refer to Greek mythology and the rebirth in the 1600's of knowledge. When he's lying down on the table, I felt it was like JCDenton being constructed, the wings are augmentations and the flying scenes were referring to Daedalus or Icarus. The whole of DX3 is supposed to have a rennaissance feel in the art direction apparently, but from what I've seen it seems very Bladerunner, like the mole people took over HK or the triads took over downtown Montreal.

That stuff with the wings is supposed to refer to the legend of Icarus (son of Daedalus) who was given wings by his father to make him able to escape from Crete. However Icarus flew too close to the sun, his wings burnt off and he died. What this has to do with Deus Ex 3 remains a mystery I guess.

Probably to do with invention. Daedalus invented wings for his son, whereas the corporations in DX3 are inventing the new mechanical augmentations. Way I see it anyway.
