Again; the percentage of drunk drivers is only higher because alcohol can be accessed by anyone above 18 legally, unlike drugs. You know which one. If legalizing weed would be a good idea, the word governments would have done it already.

the legal drinking age in America is 21.

nah weed is not legal for any reason other than DuPont, back in the 1930s DuPont bought an oil division for their company to produce plastics and other oil based products. at the same time Henry Ford had created a hemp based plastic that was 10 times harder than steel and a lot lighter, and made a car that ran on pure hemp oil. Naturally DuPont didn't want to have wasted millions of dollars on something that would become obsolete. So they go around and gather the support of every company that would lose money due to hemp. all the companies got togeather and they all endorsed a senator that DuPont had in the senate to make hemp illegal by demonizing hemp, they called it by the mexican slang word marijuana and began to make it seem like it was the cause of every crime known to man. before the 1930's it was considered a poor man's high and it was used when people couldn't afford cocaine. it is only illegal because of greed and it is only popular because it was made illegal. hell, a lot of people had no idea that hemp could be smoked to get high until it was published in every newspaper in America.

That is the real reason it is illegal, not the many metabolic end product they tell you now, things like "one marijuana cigarette is the equivalent of smoking an entire pack of cigarettes at once" is all made up myths, and every "study" done back in the 30's on it (this is where every single myth about weed comes from) has absolutely no scientific basis and no evidence at all. Every modern study done shows the opposite of what was said in the 30s and the only bad thing about smoking weed is the smoking part. anytime a person inhales smoke it irritates the lungs and esophagus it doesn't matter what kind of smoke it is.

and the only system that has effectively reduced underage cannabis consumption is the dutch system. they have also eliminated a huge percentage of the black market and largely reduced crime by normalizing weed rather than demonizing it. I know it makes very little sense on the surface, but if you think about it you realize that 12 year old kids have a lot more problems getting weed in Amsterdam, than in America. In America a 12 year old kid could walk up to a drug dealer and buy weed and the dealer doesn't care how old this kid is he just wants the money, and on top of that while the kid is buying weed the dealer could say "hey kid if you like weed than you will love this heroine, here you can borrow my needle I only have AIDs."

In some areas of the US getting weapons is legal. Ever wondered why those afros keep killing themselves in order to "protect their hoods" ? In Hungary you can't get a gun by walking in a weaponshop. It's illegal and we never hear of gunfights here. My point is still that the governments know exactly where to put a line.

First of all I'm going ignore the racist insinuation. Also did you ever wondered why they did that? Apparently not, otherwise you would have come up with a more wellthought and more intelligent answer than: 'because they are legal'.

You honestly think gunfights are only there cause weapons are legal? *loving* hell, that's stupid on so many lvls. Sure it's easier to get in a gun fight, but I don't think anybody wakes up in the morning thinking: 'hey let's go buy a gun and start shooting random ppl, just because I can.'

So many factors play a role in gunfights, most of them are socialy based (like the example you brought up so nicely) or psychic.

And why aren't there not so many gunfights in Hungary?

a) Cause it's not an as fucked up country as the US
b) most of the ppl can't afford a gun.

(compared to say, the, U.S) Obviously, you can still get a gun, if you know where to look, and I think some types of gun are legal as long as you have a licence (and possibly require it for your job).

You seem to forget this is Europe. The mentality and social context are completely different from those in the US.

To me factors like high poverty, no social security, retards like ppl from Texas etc. are some of the reason why gun violence is so high in the US. But I did say it is easier to get gunfights in a country where guns are legal, but it is not the prime reason like Chris stated.
